Current Projects

Stewart Gin Road – Crowder contracted with the South Carolina DOT to build a $1.9 million three span 165 foot long bridge near Liberty, South Carolina. This is an A+B job in which Crowder bid 105 days to complete the work which started in January and will be completed by the end of April. For A+B jobs, contractor bid both price and how long it will take.

Chattooga River - Crowder is also building a $5.7 million project on US 76 in Oconee County over the Chattooga River, which separates South Carolina and Georgia. This is a 400 foot structural steel bridge which incorporates formliner on the piers and barrier wall which will simulate a stone pattern and then be subsequently stained brown. This project will be completed by April 2007.

Millbridge Covered Bridge – This will be our third bridge for GS Carolina to be built at their development in Waxhaw. This project is unique and will be fun and interesting to build. The 200 foot long bridge features a 100 foot center span which will be built to replicate a wooden covered bridge. The concrete deck on the center span will be stamped and stained to replicate a wooden floor. This bridge will be at the main entrance to the development.

Rivergate – The Rivergate project is a large site finish package (primarily concrete and paving) for a commercial development in the Steele Creek area. We have worked on several phases of this project.
